IV drips are a great way of improving your overall health and well-being and work to supplement your usual healthy diet and lifestyle. They are administered intravenously, which means they are delivered directly into the bloodstream via a cannula. Comprising a cocktail of electrolytes, vitamins, minerals and other nutrients, they can have a variety of benefits, including: supporting the immune system, boosting energy levels, delivering anti-ageing properties, burning body fat and improving your mood
Intravenous Infusions (IV) therapy is a safe and effective method for delivering vitamins, minerals and other key nutrients straight into your bloodstream. Because the process bypasses your digestive tract, it ensures 100% absorption of all nutrients, therefore providing your body with the greatest of benefits.
Our practitioners understand that every client is different, and therefore, how a different approach is required for treatment provision and client care. There is no one size fits all mentality here, instead, we take the time to get to know our clients and their requirements, and then suggest a range of tailor-made options that can not only meet them, but provide results that exceed them.
We’ll firstly invite you in for a complimentary consultation with our practitioner to discuss your concerns, and what we can do to correct them. Perhaps you want to feel more refreshed? Perhaps you want shinier hair and more youthful skin? After you’ve told us what you’d like, we’ll go into detail about what the treatment involves, and ask you to detail your medical history. This ensures your safety.
Once we’ve chosen your IV Drip, we’ll simply insert it using a cannula into a vein in your arm. You can then relax for 30 minutes or so while the specially-created formulation makes it way into your body.
Once complete, we’ll simply remove the drip and you can go back to your day as good as new.
Many clients report noticeable effects straight away, with results lasting up to 2 weeks.
IV drips are considered to be a safe treatment option for those who wish to boost their physical and mental health. The ingredients are natural and are required as part of a healthy and balanced diet, with the drip acting to boost and supplement your intake.
It may feel a little uncomfortable as the cannula is fitted to your arm, however, a topical numbing cream or mild anaesthesia can be used. The treatment itself does not hurt as it flows into your system and you will not experience much post-treatment discomfort at the site.
Most patients will start to feel refreshed and revitalised after 24 or 48 hours. Side effects are generally rare, but it is not unusual for you to experience a slight headache or nausea immediately after the procedure. Other potential complications will be explained at the consultation.
You will need to have some pressure applied where the cannula was placed for around 2 minutes after it has been removed – this will happen before you leave the clinic. For up to 1 hour you may need to have a plaster applied and cool packs can be used to calm any sensitivity.
At your consultation, we’ll discuss your medical history and any medication that you are currently taking, as there are medicines that can interact negatively with IV therapy.
The maximum recommended number of IV Drips is no more than 9 across a 6 month period, that are well-spaced out, and provides your body with enough time to absorb the ingredients, and heal from the insertion.
